I bought this lot from a customer who was an avid collector of autographs sending them personally to where the stars lived and waiting and hoping for the best. This is one such tale told years later of a great man called Ted.

Having matched up this autograph years later using the internet to authenticated items I see for sale, I can say 100 % that Ted Williams signed this card #55 and mailed it back to him. You judge for yourself with your own research. I remember sending Bobby Thomson of the Giants a real magazine from 1961 with him on the cover as a gift because I caddied for him years earlier at the Plainfield Country Club as a kid. He actually called me at the store one day to thank me and we talked.
