The Splendid Splinter: The Story of How the Sportswriters Tried to Chop Up the Splinter for Firewood. New York: Exposition Press, 1960. Inscribed & Signed by "Ted" Blood. Book is attractive EXCEPT that front and rear inner hinges are starting..
This short (92 pp) book appeared the same year Williams retired from baseball. (He hit a home run in his last time at bat).
This book, as the title would indicate, is a fervent defense of Williams against any and all criticisms. It is also an extremely scarce item, especially so with the dust jacket (which has two scratches).
Even small books going to other countries are expensive; heavier books are outrageously expensive. If you are in another country, please keep this in mind.
