Ted Williams signed all sorts of endorsement deals both during and well-after his playing days. Among the oddest may be this 1951 bit for Prest-O-Lite car batteries. Signed in black ballpoint by Williams, he's also added his address as Fenway Park, Boston Mass. The ink is fading a little bit, in a natural process and he left a blot as he started signing his forename. The ad, with its pre-fab and contractually approved endorsement wording, is also presented on a mounted tearsheet.
